The History of Western Saddles

I read several books a week and try to make sure I read lots of different types of books. Last week I ran across this book in a used bookstore about the history of western saddles. I’m not really sure why I picked it up. I guess I bought it because the cover had a really pretty photo of an old saddle. In any case, I bought it and just finished reading it. It was surprisingly interesting! I had no idea of all the history behind them or how much they’ve changed over the years while still essentially staying the same. It definitely made me want to get back into riding again.
