Classification of Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is defined as a chronic disorder that is characterized by a widespread muscle pain, fatigue, and multiple tender points. Even though this kind of disorder is considered as an arthritis-related condition, it is not truly a form of arthritis form the pain does not cause swelling or damage to the affected area. However, this kind of condition can interfere with someone’s ability to function normally and do normal activities. According to a fresh study, this kind of condition affects 3 to 6 million American in the U.S. For unknown reasons, this kind of syndrome affects mostly women with a ratio of 80 to 90%. Most of the Fibromyalgia victims are diagnosed during middle age.
