I can still recall when my mom was tuned in to her cassette recorder with FM radio stations to keep her company while preparing meals while my dad read the newspaper. I even heard about my favorite cereal from the radio. It is just an indication of how powerful radio and broad sheets are during that time. Now that the internet is here and high speed ISPs’ continue to reach every household in the country, more people prefer to advertise online instead of expensive paper ads and other forms of media. Why? Simply because the internet produces more results. Over the past year, the internet dominates advertising followed by magazines and television while newspaper and radio ads continue to fall by the last quarter of the year 2007. Does it mean that newspaper and radio broadcast will soon be erased in the field of advertising? If this happens, will there be an effect to marketers and other forms of media?
