It goes without saying that you need to pick a builder who is skilled in the type of construction you want. Even though you may have a really good friend who is an accomplished home builder using frame, you will not be very wise to get him to build your dream log home. Unless, of course, he works for free on the weekends and only wants his stomach kept full.
The different types of wall construction all have pros and cons, with some having more pros than others. The most common ones are frame construction, log construction and insulated wall panels.
