Start A New Business Cheaply

Starting a business can be a complex and potentially expensive business. But this largely depends on what the business is, and consequently how complex it needs to be, plus crucially if it is going to be an online or offline business. Businesses range from large corporations right down to corner shops and individuals, but now the internet has allowed small scale businesses to start for almost no money with no stock or premises required. Just owning a computer and internet connection can suffice. An example business with no stock and little expense and overheads is a research website - offer a central website location where customers can find information about the topic, saving the customers having to perform research themselves. For example background checks and reverse phone lookups can be found online for a small fee

Windows Hosting Platforms are Now Available

So, Microsoft has decided to “help us along” to get windows hosting up and going. I will leave the details out on my blog, but lets just say they have decided to be very aggressive and generous to us if we decide to do windows hosting. That is fine and dandy, but I ALWAYS put the customer first. If we do windows hosting it will be because we are offering a product that a segment of our customers want. It won’t be because Microsoft bribed me to do it.

If we do get windows hosting up and going, and it proves to be a superior product then we will of course push it aggressively for our customers. Those are two GIANT IFS in my opinion. Regardless, we are considering adding windows hosting to our already successful hosting services. If you have comments or would be interested in windows specific hosting I would like to hear your opinions. Bluehost’s customers are what matter, and I would be doing this for you when it is all said and done.

GoDaddy’s Webmaster’s Day

Go Daddy’s hard work could just turn out to be a big boon to the flour industry, but the company’s probably banking on the fact that most people won’t have time to bake. For those who end up going the e-card route, Go Daddy has anticipated the demand, and is offering a selection of its own.
With webmaster’s day on the books for roughly two weeks, Go Daddy may have the market for occasion-appropriate e-cards cornered. And it’s probably safe to assume that webmasters’ day cards haven’t made it into brick-and-mortar stores for this year. Though a paper webmasters’ day card might be missing the point anyway.
According to the announcement, the company isn’t asking for any kind of purchase or other obligation in association with the sending of e-cards.
It’s probably safe to assume that Go Daddy will offer some further information on the success of the event next week, so stay tuned for the follow-up.

Merchant Accounts Build Online Business

How much can you help your business if you have merchant accounts? Suppose there was a way to increase the profitability of your Internet-based business without investing anything but time? By partnering with an established merchant services company, an e-store owner can see more traffic, sales and profits. But in the world of credit card online processing providers, one size does not fit all. Different companies have differing fee schedules, and some levy a fee for every aspect of credit card processing. The smart e-business person will find that with time spent in research they can find a company that will let them offer the right credit card services for their business at a great price.

Merchant Services a Great Investment

Why would any online business owner not want to find the merchant services provider with the lowest rate? Isn’t it all just a bottom line issue? The answer to that question, as any veteran Internet business person will tell you, is a very loud “NO!” Price certainly a factor, but those services need to be weighed equally when making a choice. Not all online businesses are the same, as such, not all cyber stores need the same services. This is why it is important to the profitability of your e-store that you select a credit card services provider that can meet your specific needs at the best possible price.

Small Business People Can Benefit From Credit Card Services

There are a lot of people who have built businesses on the Internet. They started from nothing and now they have a going concern. And they want to see it grow but they aren’t sure what the best way for that to happen is. And thus, they opt not to invest the time to find out the many ways that credit card online processing services can turn a small business into a big one.

Finding a shared web host

Savvy consumers should consider searching for online comments concerning a specific host that they are seriously contemplating. Finding comments from dissatisfied consumers is as important as finding complements about the company. Consumers can find comments by conducting a search, using the candidate hosting company’s name, in a search engine.

Another strategy that should be employed is direct correspondence. The concerned consumer should actually send potential hosting companies pre-sales e-mail to determine what features are available. Sending a pre-sales e-mail will also give the consumer an indication of how quickly the host responds to general inquiries. A credible Web host will respond in less than 24 hours. However, consumers must be aware that most hosting outfits will always respond to sales inquiries faster than technical support requests.

When composing a pre-sales e-mail, consumers should ask themselves questions of what they really need from a web host.

By employing a strategy of due diligence through the combined use of credible, hosting directories and direct correspondence with hosting firms, smart consumers can find an excellent shared hosting provider.

Cheap Internet Ideas

Successful business ideas come in all shapes and sizes, especially online. One idea which has become very popular in recent years is to offer a central location where users can find information about a particular topic without having to search for it themselves. For example a site offering links to background checks and Reverse Phone Lookups such as this one can provide huge amounts of information to the customer without the website owner having to create the product themselves. They simply offer lists of resources in a central location.

Web Hosting Services

Web hosting services are companies that provide businesses and individuals the opportunity to have their own websites on the Internet. The Web hosting service has a large server or multiple servers that allow them space on the web, and they rent this space to clients who use it to park their domain names on the World Wide Web so that Internet surfers can access them.

Anyone can use a web hosting service if he or she can pay the monthly fee and have a domain name. The domain name provides the URL that people will type into their Internet web browser to be directed to your site. You will have to pay to register your domain name, although some web hosting services may offer free domain name registration as part of a promotion to give you incentive to use their service. If you cannot afford the monthly fee, there are free web hosting services. However, there tend to be serious limitations on how you can operate your website with a free service, and many people find it necessary to upgrade to a paid service if they continue their website for an extended length of time. Another option may be shared web hosting, where a number of people agree to operate their websites off the same server and costs are shared.

Business Owners Web Hosting

Your small business website needs to be hosted on a web server or simply a server (another name for computer) that is connected to the World Wide Web so that anyone can access your website.

Choosing a web hosting company for your small business website is easy if you follow the guide I have layout for you. Depending on the scale of your business, the type of business you run and your level of technical competency, there will always be a right hosting provider just for your business.

The general rule of thumb in choosing a web hosting provider boils down to: Excellent Customer Support, Company Stability, Robust Datacenter, and Affordability

Excellent Customer Support If all things being equal, I would rate customer support as my number 1 determining factor in choosing a web hosting provider. Relying on testimonials found on the provider’s site is a common approach to assess a company’s level of customer excellence but it is also quite an outdated one. After all it’s not uncommon for some providers to fake the testimonials. Instead I suggest you follow my way of assessing their customer support.

Sizing its level of customer support is sometimes as easy as finding out whether they have enough employees to support their level of business growth. You should look at the Customer to Employee ratio, CE ratio, as a benchmark.

For example, according to our records SiteSell Inc has approximately 15,000 customers and employs about 30 support staff, it has a CE ratio of 500 (15,000/30 = 500), you can expect a much higher level of customer satisfaction and a faster response time when compared to another provider who is serving 100,000 customers but only have 75 support staff. Their CE ratio would stand at approximately 1,333. Basically you should look for a professional hosting provider with a low CE ratio.

Get the Best from Merchant Services

Merchant services are a proven e-business booster, but that doesn’t mean a decision on a provider should be madew with haste. When you’re considering signing up with a credit card processing company you’ll probably want to get references from several providers. And when you speak to those references, dig deep on their experience with their customer service experiences. After all, who among us hasn’t been burned by a provider whose service after the sale was non-existent? Another factor to consider when considering various internet merchant account providers is whether they charge for taking a service call. If so, is that charge per minute, or per call? Some charge so much for service, it’s almost as though they don’t want to hear from you – and that’s no service

Credit Card Merchant Account Choice is Key

When you go out to buy a mp3 player you know there are dozens of places to make your purchase. Some are honest and offer great value, some leave you feeling a little uneasy. This is why you shop around. Why is the process of selecting a merchant services provider any different? Who has the best deal? Who has the most satisfied customers? Who can offer references you can actually call and talk to? Who has a track record that indicates they’ll be there when you call with a service need? It’s a slam dunk that offering customers the option of using a credit card at your business will increase your profits. The right decision on a credit card merchant account provider will insure you’re getting the most for your money, not to mention the most from your money.
